Golden selected as one of Inc. Magazine’s “Winning Workplaces”

It is absolutely a thrill to share the news of Golden Artist Colors receiving Inc. Magazine’s “Winning Workplaces” award with the many supporters of our business.  I believe this award is a wonderful measure of what has made this company successful, and hopefully remain successful into the future.  It has always been by the efforts of our team here that we’ve been able to continue to contribute to this amazing arts community for over 30 years.

The recognition of their efforts to make this a place one that we can all be proud of, is recognition of a bottom line at GOLDEN that is made up of more than year-end profitability.  Maybe it is because we are privately held and employee owned that we are able to think about more than quarterly profits.  In the long run, sustainability of any business is a combination of delighting the customer, providing opportunities for development and contribution by staff, and certainly requiring financial management to maintain profitability in both good and bad times.   At the core of this construct is being a values driven company that believes that doing good is good for business.

Just last month, two of our staff members were recognized at the National Employee Ownership Conference as well as Golden Artist Colors, as past tri-state winners of Employee of the Year and ESOP Company of the Year.  This recognition, as well as the recognition by Inc. Magazine serves as great milestones for the amazing work of this team and all the things they do for each other, for our customers and for all the communities we work in and support.  Congratulations team!

Congratulations on this recognition and on the success of the company. I still remember Uncle Sam taking me on a tour of the factory and always feel a bit of nostalgia whenever I see your paints in Michael’s. I wish you continued success!

Your cousin,

Hey Scott, so great to hear from you! That the place has changed quite a bit, would be an understatement. Please come and visit. We’ve just finished the Sam and Adele Golden Artist Residency. Another dream of the folks on its way! Best, Mark
