Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts Benefit a Huge Success

12 November, 2007 (15:56) | Community, From Home

We’re still glowing in the after effects from the wonderful benefit and silent auction for the Golden Foundation at the GOLDEN Gallery in Columbus, NY. So many artists contributed amazing works to the event. Our biggest concern was after receiving these amazing contributions from artists, would we be able to raise enough interest from folks near and far to recognize the level of artists that made this benefit possible? We worked our tails off to get the word out to as many people as we could. Much of the advice we’d been given was to do the show in NYC. I’ve always been so head strong about creating this place in Columbus as a venue where people would come if we made it interesting enough. Well…they did come; we had over 340 registered for the event and it was a blast!

We are so thankful for all the staff that donated time for this event and all our neighbors in all the surrounding communities that joined in for this celebration. As we get closer to breaking ground on the Artist Residency up here next to Golden Artist Colors, I am given more confidence than ever before that this will be an even more exciting time than the last 10 years of our Foundation or the last 27 years of Golden Artist Colors. To all our friends that made this possible, we are always grateful.

Bravo, Mark. I am sorry I could not attend, but am happy to hear it was a success.
