Thrilled to the QoR
The launch of our new watercolor, QoR, has made it quite exciting back here at Golden Artist Colors. It would not have been very interesting to make another ‘me-to’ watercolor. There are enough traditional professional quality watercolors out there to meet almost every artist’s needs. With QoR we have made a product that will allow artists familiar with watercolor to feel excited about the new options available with these paints. For artists who have not explored watercolor, this is an opportunity to add these to your repertoire with colors as brilliant as the best oils or acrylics.
The newest JustPaint #31 highlights a good deal of the technical data we assembled for the new watercolor. It should answer many of the questions that artists may have about the new colors, the new watercolor grounds and the new binder for these watercolors, Aquazol. This binder is very similar in properties of traditional gum arabic, which some exceptional differences in its ability to handle loading of pigment.

Jacelyn, thanks! I’ve tried to keep my blog from requiring any support from the team here. They have enough work without me adding more. I am embarrassed to share I just tried loading a photo into the blog a few days ago, because I thought the same as you. “Boy this could use some visuals”… Didn’t work! So you’ve given me inspiration to bug my team for a lesson on uploading images.

We have all the above. If you’re on your computer and you get to contact us, you’ll have a lot of options and can actually speak to a watercolor artist and teacher here on staff. We have six staff members available for questions via email or phone or old fashion mail. Give it a try! 800 959-6543. I love speaking to real people!!! Best, Mark

What a terrific blog! I came to the sight with a mixed media question (submitted it) and discovered Mark’s blog. I also signed up for the “Just Paint” newsletter. Golden paints are top quality. Your support is amazing!

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more
than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important
and everything. But imagine if you added some great graphics or videos to
give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this blog
could certainly be one of the best in its niche. Good blog!
