Roy Kinzer has been making and teaching art for over 40 years. He has an extensive exhibition record and frequently completes commissions for art consultant firms and private collectors. His current paintings focus on two bodies of work, the Biennial Series - (Axis of Evil) which are aerial views of cities that house major art biennials and the Manhattan Project views of New York City the greatest city in the world. Both include acrylic and collaged maps on aluminum and QoR Watercolors and collaged map on aluminum. All inspired by fractals and derived from satellite images and altered maps. Recent commissions include the Michael Lewis Company in Chicago and the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Roy is a past recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Artist Grant. In 2013, the Eberly College of Science at Penn State Berks acquired four of his fractal-based paintings for their permanent collection. He holds a Certificate of Art from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Roy has been a Certified Working Artist since 2005.
