Sandra was born in the Niagara Peninsula, Canada, and has lived and trained in Canada, USA and Australia. She studied writing and journalism at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and City University London, England, and over the past 20 years has developed her creative work to include visual arts. Sandra initially learning classical drawing and oil painting with renowned artists including the late Kevin Taylor at Brighton Arts Society in Melbourne, and Juan Martinez at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto. Most recently she has explored the realm of possibilities after being trained as a GOLDEN Artist Educator and has added so much more to her teaching. Her favorite part of being an artist is volunteering in the arts; she has developed a hands-on, studio-based high school arts curriculum, was co-founder of North Toronto Group of Artists, and has launching many community and school-based arts projects. She teaches drawing, painting and mixed-media workshops and offers an annual workshop in Europe for one week each summer. Sandra currently divides her time between living in the picturesque historical town of Niagara-on-the-Lake in Canada and in beautiful Loudoun County, Virginia USA. Sandra's original and published works are exhibited and sold internationally.
