In this demo I will be showing some new ways to use watercolor. I will be going over GOLDEN Watercolor Grounds, the difference between them and how you can use them. I will also be demonstrating monoprinting, gel resists, and stamping using watercolor. During this demo, I can also answer any of the basic watercolor technique questions you may have such as washes, masking, using salt, gradients, wet on wet, lifting, and more.

In this hands on workshop, attendees will hand paint their own reusable cotton tote bag. With guided instruction, we will work with different tools, brushes and water to create a fun abstract wearable art piece. Methods such as layering, splattering, scraping and painting. We will use GOLDEN Heavy Body, Fluid and Hi Flow Acrylics. Everyone will get to leave with their own unique creation. *This workshop is offered for free for members of a ladies Vancouver artist meetup group. As a part of the Create Arts Festival, this is an evening workshop pop up. In this workshop, participants will follow along to craft a beautiful, multi layered floral artwork. The methods taught will include painting an abstract base watercolour layer to help encompass the essence of the flower colours. Participants will draw several layers of flowers on a semi transparent paper that will layer over one another to create a soft depth to the piece.
