Christine’s abstract, imaginative art is inspired by nature, science and an enjoyment of the process of making. An intuitive and improvisational approach characterizes the artist’s diverse body of work that includes paintings, collage and fiber art. Over the last several years she has focused primarily on painting in acrylics, creating many vibrant and colorful works. The artist exhibits her work around the country. Past exhibitions include "Flourish", a solo show at the University of New Orleans in 2012, "Stitched" at the St. Tammany Art Association, Covington, Louisiana in 2013, and "fiber" at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts, Hamilton, Ohio in 2014. Christine has earned several awards and grants including a grant from the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation in 2011. She was also chosen by the Louisiana Division of the Arts for two Creative Capital artist retreats in 2010 and 2011. Christine has twenty-five years experience teaching art. She maintains her studio practice in New Orleans. The artist is a member of the Golden Artist Educator Program.
